Boxer Vitali Klitschko Announces Ukrainian Presidential Run

Heavyweight boxing champ Vitali Klitschko is fighting to become president of the Ukraine.

Announcing his official run for his homeland's top job on Thursday, Klitschko revealed he plans to run for the presidency in 2015, and will not be stopped by critics.

He'll become the first known challenger of incumbent president Viktor Yanukovych, who took over as the Ukraine's fourth president in 2010.

The boxer, who has twice run for mayor of Kiev, says, "I cannot be intimidated or stopped. In order to put an end to various attempts to get rid of me as a possible candidate, I want to say that I'm running for president. I have a residence permit in Germany, but this doesn't violate the Ukrainian legislation, and I've always been a citizen of Ukraine."

The 42 year old has political pedigree in the Ukraine and currently runs the popular Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform party. He announced his intention to run for president to World Boxing Council president Jose Sulaiman in August, prompting the sport's head to state, "He (Klitschko) stressed what's much more important than one person being president, is to improve the lives of Ukrainians with a more efficient economy, modernisation, more jobs and better opportunities for the future."

Klitschko is the brother of fellow boxer Wladimir Klitschko, who became engaged to actress Hayden Panettiere earlier this month.

David Beckham & His Sons Get Slimed At Kids' Choice Sports Awards

During the first annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards, David Beckham and his sons were slimed in gold. The soccer star received the first Legend Award at the event, held in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Beckham's two youngest sons gave their dad his award following a video montage featuring the top moments of Beckham's career.

A few moments later, golden goo was blasted up from the stage floor, completely covering the Beckhams, who wound up looking like living Oscar statues.

The show honored athletes such as NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, NBA player Carmelo Anthony and gymnast Gabby Douglas and featured performances by country duo Florida Georgia Line and singer Pharrell Williams.

Ronaldo believes he can still improve physically

Cristiano Ronaldo believes he can still improve physically despite an electric start to the season at Real Madrid where he admitted his pre-season wasn't the best by his own admission.
The 29-year-old was blighted by injuries towards the end of last season that hampered his World Cup with Portugal and the start of this campaign with Real.
Ronaldo was forced to take a three-week break at the beginning of the term as he struggled with a tendonitis in his left knee and a hamstring problem, but has since returned in devastating goalscoring fashion.

Here is what Di Maria is doing with all your money Manchester utd!

Angel di Maria has been right on the money since he joined Manchester United - and on Tuesday he was spotted spending some of his readies at his local supermarket.
The Argentina winger, who joined United for £60million from Real Madrid, got money out at a cashpoint before heading off to buy groceries with a friend.
Things didn't run so smoothly, however, something the graceful star will not be used to.
Di Maria, who is on around £180k a week with at Old Trafford, reportedly took around five minutes to figure out how to use the machine.
While the 26-year-old has been in fine form in recent weeks, his team-mates have let him down somewhat, most notably on Sunday.
United lost 5-3 to Leicester on Sunday, one of the more humiliating defeats in their Premier League history.
And some players put the loss down to the fact that Di Maria, who scored a wonderful chip at the King Power Stadium, was taken off with 14 minutes to go.
One United star was heard to say, 'Why the f*** did we substitute Di Maria?'
