Edison Cavani shown red card for celebrating a goal!

Well, that's technically not what happened, the Uruguay international was shown a yellow card after celebrating with a gun toting gesture and was then shown a red card after arguing with the referee. At one point, the striker appears to touch the official.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has criticised the controversial decision, insisting that punishments given for such celebrations are bad for French football.
'It is the media's job to speak about the referee,' he said to Canal +.
'Cavani does not deserve that red card. And why has he got a yellow before? He always does the same celebration.
'This is not normal and it is not good for French football if we want to develop. It is a bad situation for everyone.'

Fancy celebrating a goal like a wrestling champion?

Two Dundee players turned themselves into instant twitter celebs after celebrating a goal in a Randy Orton inspired RKO style.

Gary Harkins and Jim McAlister brought an internet viral to life on Saturday, when they celebrated a Dundee goal against Motherwell with their version of a Randy Orton 'RKO'.
Harkins had just scored Dundee's second goal at Fir Pirk, to help end a run of four straight defeats, when he and McAlister brought the move to life.
As Harkins stood with his arms aloft, McAlister pretended to grab him by the head and throw him to the floor in the iconic wrestling slam.

Gerrad pique gets in a confrontation with police

He got out of his car and said, according to La Vanguardia: 'You envy me because I'm famous. You are fining me because you're on commission, because you have no money and you need to make commission.
'I'm going to speak with your bosses and get you reprimanded. You think you are masters of the world because you wear that uniform and fine people.
'Your father's going to pay this fine - I'm not. You are a disgrace. Your profession makes me sick and the Guardia Urbana is a f****** disgrace.'
Pique then allegedly snatched the fine out of his brother's hands and flung it back at police, before the pair entered Casino Barcelona.

The Spain star was in the Port Olimpic area of the city after he had flown back from international duty, when his brother stopped their car in a bus zone for 15 minutes.
Police said that they had been obstructing taxis and other vehicles and issued Pique's brother, Marc, with a fine.

Shakira is expected to have made a fine genleman out of Pique.

Serbia vs Albania turned into a total chaos. Here are the pictures

After a flag appeared on field during their EURO qualifiers, pandemonium broke out in what is now seen as a "ridicle" to UEFA.
The match was called off after home defender Stefan Mitrovic pulled down a flag carried by a drone - leading to chaos on the field and in the stands of the Partizan Stadium and the arrest of the brother of the Albanian Prime Minister.

We didn't say Ozil cheated on his girlfriend, this guy did

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has been dragged into a public row with a fellow German footballer and accused of cheating on his pop star girlfriend Mandy Capristo.
Former Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin player Christian Lell accused Ozil of 'muscling in' on his relationship with former girlfriend Melanie Rickinger.
In an interview with Bild, Lell somewhat ungraciously described his ex as a 'snake' and explained that she had exchanged intimate messages with Ozil on the messaging service WhatsApp.

Mesut exploited his fame, and muscled in on our relationship,' said Lell. 'That isn't OK'.
Ozil himself has refused to comment on the situation.
'We are not commenting on this. We will keep an eye on the situation, and take legal action if necessary,' said his agent Roland Eitel.
Lell's ex-girlfriend Rickinger has said her former boyfriend is 'crazy'. She has not denied the accusations of an affair with Ozil, but did insist that Lell had accessed her messages without her permission.
'I deleted everything on my phone. He must have gone on himself and backed everything up,' she said. 'He's completely crazy.'
Capristo has also refused to comment. The singer lives with the Germany international in London, and is a judge on the X Factor-style reality show 'Germany's Search for a Superstar'.
Capristo is about to release a new album, and has previously insisted that she does not accept the idea of being merely a WAG.
She said: 'You'd never say to the partner of a tennis player that they're only this or that, that's a lack of respect. So when people say I'm just a WAG, I don't care. I have too much respect for myself and my own work to even bother thinking about these people.'

Incredible! Falcao can actually score a goal!

Lol, yeah we know right. Manchester united fans won't like that header but it is what it is.

Even Falco was relieved to finally score a goal. Does Manchester united have something to do with his goal drought?

Story of the worst football match ever played!

Romania's European qualifier with Hungary ended in a 1-1 draw, but the match was merely a side-note to the brutal violence both on and off the field.
Scottish referee William Collum was forced to dish out 12 yellow cards during the match, while police sprayed tear gas at fans in the stands.
Both sets of supporters created a deafening roar throughout the game, letting off flares and firecrackers, to the dismay of onlooking police
