Since joining Chelsea in 2006 from Norwegian
side Lyn, Mikel has been a mainstay in the Blues midfield despite
playing under seven different managers during his time at Stamford
Bridge.
Reports suggested Inter Milan were interested in bringing
the Nigerian international to the San Siro as owner Erick Thohir
attempts to add fresh talent to the club. However Mikel's agent John Shittu claims a move to Italy is not on the agenda for his client, who remains happy to stay at Chelsea with three years remaining on his current deal.
"As far as I know this is all speculation," Shittu told Kickoff Nigeria.
"Obviously, it is normal for clubs to show interest. But the player has not said he wants to leave, and the club have not said they want to let him go.
"There is always contact with various clubs here and there, but he still has three years left on the contract."
Inter have already secured the signing of Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic - with the Serbian international to join the club in the summer.
The Serie A outfit are also interested in signing United's Javier Hernandez and Manchester City's Edin Dzeko.
